The mountain top offers a scenic southern exposure at an elevation of 4000 feet. The mountain range across from the mountain top is restricted for development in the upper regions. At the base of the mountain meanders the New River, one of North America's oldest rivers designated a National Scenic River in 1976. One acre of the mountain top is wooded, one acre is lightly wooded , and one acre is cleared with a flat area ready for building. Electricity extends to the property adjacent and right below the mountain top , and can be easily connected to the property. The mountain top has water rights to the spring that supplies water to the residents on the mountain and a well can be drilled on the property. The mountain is located at the end of Joe Jones Road that intersects Frank Rowland Road which intersects State Road 1344 which is off Hwy 88 west in the Warrensville North Carolina 28693 zip code. Joe Jones Road, which leads up to the mountain top, is populated by a number of rural dwellings including mobile homes. Much of the mountain is pasture land adjacent to the mountain top and on the northern side of the mountain. The road is paved only partially up the mountain and is privately maintained by the residents on the mountain and kept in a reasonably good condition. At the beginning to the mountain top property, the road is partially washed out and currently requires a four wheel drive vehicle to reach the top area. The owners have decided to leave the road as is until late spring 2007 before having fresh gravel put on the roadway. A 30 ft 1997 Sunnybrook travel trailer is located on the mountain top. The travel trailer is included in the total price of the mountain top. |
